Aimee began her career at MSB as a Paralegal in September 2016 in the family department, before commencing her training contract in September 2019. She graduated with a 2:1 in English Literature from the University of Leeds in 2016 and completed her GDL with a commendation from the University of Law, Manchester in 2019. Aimee obtained her LPC with a distinction from the University of Law, Liverpool in July 2021 and a Masters with distinction in August 2021.
Aimee worked for three years in MSB’s Family department at the start of her career before starting her training contract. During which time she dealt with a wide range of family matters including children, domestic abuse, abduction, divorce, finance and mediation. She has had the opportunity to represent clients ranging from high net worth divorce, to children who were the victims of human trafficking. She has specialised in dealing with highly complex children matters often with an international element. Aimee is proud of the fact she was able to help the most vulnerable in society gain access to justice.
As part of her training contract, Aimee completed a seat within the firm’s Employment department, acting on behalf of both employers and employees. The work covered a wide remit of areas including advising on disciplinaries, sickness absence cases, discrimination and TUPE matters, as well as drafting and implementing contracts of employment and policy handbooks.
Aimee qualified as a solicitor in September 2021 into the private family department. She has a particular interest in divorce and the ancillary financial matters and private Children Act proceedings. She is able to draw on her employment experience when advising in financial matters where there are businesses involved. Aimee prides herself on her approachable nature and high level of client care.
