Overview
Lucy Nield is a solicitor in our Family Law department who has gained experience in assisting clients in private children, care and injunction proceedings. She has also supported clients with applying for a divorce and obtaining a settlement regarding their matrimonial finances. Lucy is also able to help clients who qualify for legal aid funding as she recognises the importance of people from different backgrounds being able to access legal advice.
Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI)
Lucy has organised an initiative called Breakfast Connect alongside her colleagues in our family team to hold in person events to promote internal networking between our different departments at MSB. Lucy also created and introduced the MSB Together Newsletter which showcases the best work at MSB. She enjoys leading talks and group activities for students as well as allowing those interested in a career in law to shadow her on an MSB placement scheme. Lucy has lead bake sales and attended charity events to raise awareness and funds for organisations such as Claire’s House, James Bulger Memorial Trust, Mandela 8, and The Hive Youth Zone.
Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG)
Lucy enjoys getting involved in events that support our EDI and ESI initiatives at MSB Solicitors. She has worked with Blackburne House to organise social events for her colleagues at the firm and she has also completed presentation training and attended drop-in clinics to enhance her learning and continue providing exceptional client care. She also has attended networking events with Liverpool Ladies Network, Business Network International, and Shout to connect with people from different organisations and businesses and inform them of the services that MSB provide. Lucy has also completed a First Aid and Fire Warden Course to assist our colleagues in our Liverpool and Chester offices.
