MSB are seeking a talented and driven employment solicitor to join our multi-award winning firm. You will join our highly-rated employment law time to help service the current case load.
The department undertakes both Claimant and Respondent work. The successful candidate will enjoy a varied work load in contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on Claimant work.
You will be provided with an active tribunal caseload along with the opportunity to undertake Tribunal Advocacy. You will also advise on Settlement Agreements and non-contentious matters, such as Contracts of Employment.
In addition, you will assist the head of the team with more complex matters, relating to both Claimant and Respondent work.
The role will be client facing and you will be provided with the opportunity for significant client contact.
You will be enthusiastic, organised and have excellent verbal, written communication and client skills. There will also be opportunities to contribute to business development.
In addition to Claimant work, the department offers a range of Employment law services to a number of high-profile businesses within the region. You will also be expected to assist in servicing the team’s business clients and maintaining those relationships.
This role has arisen as a result of an increase in workload and the need to grow the Employment Department.
Ideal candidates will be NQ Solicitors or Solicitors with 1 – 2 years PQE. We will also consider applications from candidates who are approaching qualification who have significant experience in Employment Law.
It is an essential requirement for candidates to have previous experience in Employment Law and to be competent in this area. Candidates who are invited to interview will be subjected to a competency based assessment.
The position will be full-time and based at our Liverpool city centre office. Salary is wholly dependent on experience.
