Thomas O’Reilly

Trainee

Thomas has been working at MSB since 2019 as a paralegal in our family department. Thomas has recently been granted a training contract and will start the course in 2022. Prior to working at the firm Thomas had been studying for the postgraduate LLM Qualifying Law Course alongside working in the hospitality sector.

Thomas completed the LLM Qualifying Law Course at Liverpool John Moore’s University in 2019, having also graduated from there with a History degree in 2016. Thomas is now undertaking his LPC at LJMU and will graduate in 2022, shortly after which he will begin his training contract.

Thomas credits the guidance and inspiration of the MSB family team for obtaining a training contract. Working within family, Thomas has gained first hand experience dealing with complex family issues including both private and public law matters as well as independently achieving injunctions for vulnerable and at risk clients. Thomas prides himself on attention to detail and having a passion to help those most in need. Whilst at MSB Thomas has learnt valuable skills that will be essential to his continued career in law.

Thomas is excited for his career at MSB and is also committed to working with the firm in supporting local charities and is eager to take an active role in Business development and CSR. Thomas is currently in the process of developing and hosting an MSB Podcast series which will see him talk to the partners of the firm and get an insight into their career journeys. Thomas hopes to extract advice and guidance which will benefit people who are interested in a career in law.
