Paula has been a Partner with MSB since 2010 and has more than 20 years of experience in family matters.
Paula deals with a broad range of family matters including divorce, financial remedy proceedings and children. She is the only Resolution Accredited Specialist in Merseyside and Greater Manchester in the area of Emergency Procedures within Financial Remedy Proceedings. This ensures that Paula can take immediate steps to protect the matrimonial assets or prevent the dissipation of assets by making an urgent application to the Court.
Paula also specialises in complex financial settlements upon the breakdown of a marriage. She is able to advise on cases involving trusts, businesses and pensions and cases involving assets in other jurisdictions including Offshore Trusts.
Paula is able to advise clients on applications for financial provision for children, including where a parent is living abroad and has successfully achieved transfer of properties and capital for the benefit of children.
Paula is the Pod Liaison Officer for Merseyside Collaborative Pod. As a Collaborative Lawyer, if the client wishes to resolve family disputes without going to court, Paula can conduct negotiations with both parties and both lawyers present to resolve matters amicably.
