Maisie began her career at MSB in November 2018 when she started as work experience weekly until she was offered a permanent position as a Paralegal in March 2019. She graduated with a 2:1 in Philosophy and Law from the University of Liverpool in 2018 and completed her GDL with an LLM, securing a Merit, at Liverpool John Moores University in 2019. She is currently studying part time for her LPC which she will complete this year. Maisie is delighted to have been offered a training contract which she will commence in September 2021.
Throughout Maisie’s time at MSB she has worked exclusively in the Family team, dealing with a range of family matters including domestic abuse, divorce, finance, children and abduction. She has developed experience in legally aided complex children matters which often have an international element. Maisie has worked on cases with the most vulnerable of clients include those who are victims of human trafficking, severe domestic abuse and honour based abuse. Ensuring that vulnerable clients receive appropriate support and justice throughout is something she is passionate about.
Maisie has recently been awarded Paralegal of the Year 2020 by Merseyside Junior Lawyers Division which is something she is extremely proud.
Maisie loves to return back to her rural hometown in Yorkshire whenever she can for long walks in the countryside.
