Senior Associate

John deals with a rage of cases including consumer law disputes (including consumer credit), landlord and tenant disputes (residential and commercial), claims under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (including lease renewal), contract disputes and contempt of court proceedings. John also has experience in drafting contracts on behalf of businesses.

Additionally, John oversees MSB’s financial claims team and regularly receives instructions from consumers who wish to bring claims against financial institutions. John can advise on credit file disputes, complaints about high cost, short term lending (payday loans) and financial mis-selling (including PPI).

John has been a member of the Liverpool Branch of CILEx since 2014 and is currently the branch Treasurer.

John is also a member of the Liverpool City Region Community Impact Board, which is a team of experts put together by local charity, The Big Trust, who are committed to working together to share knowledge and expertise to deliver lasting positive impact in Liverpool City Region.

Moreover, John regularly attends the Liverpool Community Advice Centre to provide pro-bono legal advice to individuals with consumer disputes.
