Amy has specialised in housing litigation since 2005. She completed the Bar Vocational Course in 2005 and cross-qualified as a Solicitor being admitted to the roll in 2008. She has worked in MSB’s Social Housing and Regeneration Team since February 2021Â
Amy has particular expertise in Housing Management, Anti-Social Behaviour, Compliance based litigation, Possession claims and Disrepair.Â
Amy regularly delivers training to clients and holds legal drop-in surgeries and attends estate walkarounds to offer free legal advice and assistance. Amy also drafts the team newsletter and coordinates articles and information published and distributed to clients. Â
Amy also has experience in dealing with appeals including one case heard in the Court of Appeal which was widely reported, having an impact on how anti-social behaviour cases should be considered by the courtÂ
Amy has a passion for all aspects of housing litigation and has focused on social housing throughout her career.Â
Amy is also a board member for Women in Social Housing North West and is involved in organising their training and networking events.Â
