Garden clean up

On Friday 16th September members of the Social Housing Team at MSB Solicitors volunteered to do a garden clean up as part of our commitment to social value and our wider corporate social responsibility. They assisted the residents of Rose Court, a retirement property run by One Manchester consisting of 11 bungalows and 9 flats.

Louise Murphy, Partner and Head of Social Housing, Thomas Stockton Associate Solicitor, Amy Tagoe Associate Solicitor and Rachael Payne, Solicitor used their green thumbs to help tidy the garden and make it somewhere the residents would enjoy relaxing. This included sorting out the borders, filling planters, and painting benches. The weather was thankfully on the team’s side for the duration of the afternoon.

After only a couple of hours of volunteer work the difference was huge. Residents who had been enjoying Bingo, one the many social activities run by Rose Court, thanked the team as it was something they had been unable to sort themselves and they were thrilled with the change. Some assisted with identifying what was a weed which was very helpful. The team were even given some birthday cake by the residents to take away after they had finished for the day.

MSB Solicitors are always looking for ways they can help give back to the community. It was wonderful for the team to chat to residents and the staff and understand how much green space can make a difference for those living in a city.
