Championing Men’s Health Week

At MSB Solicitors, we are marking Men’s Health Week 2023 through promoting the ‘Can Do’ Challenge. This challenge is designed to encourage people to strive to achieve five daily objectives that are scientifically proven to help people feel better and improve their overall wellbeing.

The ‘Can Do’ Challenge invites you to do all five of these these tasks:

Connect – connect with other people. Talk to your family, strike up a conversation with a stranger, call an old friend you haven’t spoken to in a while.

Active – move your body! Go for a walk, a swim or a run. Strive to engage in some form of physical activity every day.

Notice – Be aware and engaged with the environment for at least an hour every day. Turn off your phone!

Discover – Learn something new. Consider reading a new book, finding a new hobby, or learning a new recipe.

Offer – Do something good for someone else, whether that be a simple gesture, or volunteering at your local charity!

Men’s Health Week is designed to raise awareness about the health challenges men face and promote strategies for better physical and mental wellbeing.

The Man MOT is a useful tool which can also be used to boost physical and mental wellbeing. This is designed for men of all ages and focuses on showing you just how much we can do to boost our own health and wellbeing. The aim of the booklet is to provide men with an easy and fun way to live a healthier life. With 25 challenges in all, just taking a couple of them can help to improve your health!

More information on Man MOT can be found here: https://www.menshealthforum.org.uk/man-mot

It is important to continue the conversation, spread awareness and encourage family, friends and colleagues to take good care of their health.
