MSB Solicitors invite you to a free, in-person legal training event offering a rare opportunity to experience a housing conditions claim mock trial - live in an auditorium.
With an increasing number of housing condition claims proceeding to trial, this session is designed specifically for professionals across the social housing sector who want a realistic, practical insight into the court process. Attendees will observe the courtroom dynamic as it unfolds, gaining valuable understanding of what to expect when attending court as a witness, including court etiquette and the rules of evidence.
The mock trial will feature Gary Reynolds, Barrister of 7 Harrington Street, acting on behalf of the Defendant social landlord, and Ian Bond, Barrister of Cobden House Chambers acting on behalf of the Claimant tenant in a fictional claim, bringing real-world expertise and authenticity to the proceedings.
This session aims to build confidence, knowledge, and familiarity with the courtroom environment in a supportive and informative setting.
