Wendy has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of family law. She deals with complex and extensive matters in divorce and separation, financial issues, disputes in relation to the arrangements for children, public law proceedings including care and adoption, domestic abuse, child abduction and harmful practices such as FGM, forced marriage protection and honour-based abuse and a number of appeals.
Wendy has had the privilege of dealing with High Court, Court of Appeal, Supreme Court and ECHR cases. Many of these have involved international aspects and have been high profile reported cases.
Wendy is a member of the Law Society’s Family Advanced Panel (specialising in domestic abuse and financial matters) and is a member of the Law Society’s Mediation Panel. She is also a member of Resolution and MIKK, for cross border mediation in child abduction cases. Wendy has dealt with honour-based abuse, forced marriage protection and female genital mutilation.
Wendy is passionate about representing clients from all backgrounds and cultures and works with many vulnerable clients, including those with mental health issues, learning difficulties and young mothers, where an extra level of support is provided.
Wendy supports various charities for vulnerable clients including Savera UK, RASA, WHISC and City Hearts. Wendy works with The Women’s Organisation, assisting business clients in family matters. Wendy was shortlisted for a national award, Jordan’s Associate Solicitor of the Year in 2018. She also signs for the deaf to British Sign Language level 2, has completed Autism Awareness training and is instructed by both clients with Autism and ASD and those who use BSL.
