Daisy Burton
Trainee Solicitor
Daisy joined the firm in our new Chester office in July 2024 as a paralegal and commenced her training contract in September 2024.
She graduated from Cardiff University with a 2:1 in Law in 2021. Subsequently, she completed the Legal Practice Course and Masters LLM at the University of Law in Bristol in 2022. During her Masters, she specifically focused on family law, with her dissertation exploring the changes in legislation surrounding divorce and the introduction of no-fault divorce in 2022.
Following the completion of her studies, Daisy worked at a law firm in Chester, beginning as a legal assistant and moving up to a paralegal.
She has experience working on a wide range of family law cases, including complex matrimonial finance, Children Act proceedings, and injunctions. Daisy has a particular interest and wide depth of knowledge in matrimonial finance, having worked primarily in that area of family law throughout her legal career. Since joining MSB, she has also developed an understanding of the Legal Aid system and works alongside Solicitors on legal aid cases, including Care Proceedings.
Originally from Shropshire, Daisy moved to Chester in 2022 and enjoys getting involved in the local community. In her spare time, she plays tennis, is learning Japanese, and enjoys spending time with her partner, friends, and family.
Daisy prides herself on delivering excellent client care and being a supportive advocate clients can rely on. She hopes to continue to learn and develop her skillset throughout her training contract, qualifying in September 2026 as a trustworthy and dedicated solicitor.
