The Residential Development and Plot Sales team is headed by Nick Sweeney and comprises of a team who regularly deal with the acquisition of residential development sites, planning agreements and conditions, adoption agreements and all aspects of residential site set up.

MSB has a designated team of experienced solicitors and legal executives who act on behalf of developers in connection with their plot sales.

We pride ourselves on providing an efficient and cost effective service to our clients who include Urban Splash, Stewart Milne Homes, Redrow and numerous local developers.  Our team is also recommended to purchasers by developers including Bellway, Lovells and Morris Homes.

Nick Sweeney - Consultant

Nick graduated from Manchester University and qualified as a Solicitor in November 1989.

Nick is experienced in all aspects of commercial property including acquisitions and disposals and leases of industrial commercial and office properties and development sites for both commercial and residential purposes. Nick has a wealth of experience dealing with all aspects of residential and mixed use schemes including acquisitions, development and disposals. Nick is also experienced in contentious property matters and all aspects of landlord and tenant law.

Nick is a keen supporter of Everton football club.  He is a member of Childwall Golf Club.  He also enjoys cricket, tennis and the theatre.

Darren Barwick - Associate Solicitor

Darren is a Solicitor and graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 1997 .

Darren specialises in residential and mixed-use development schemes and also undertakes a variety of residential and commercial acquisitions and disposals for individuals and property investment companies.   Darren has experience of property finance transactions, acting for both lenders and borrowers in relation to all aspects of secured lending, acquisition and development finance. Darren also acts for both landlord and tenant in commercial lease transactions.

Away from the office Darren enjoys Running, Snowboarding and Scubadiving.

Emma Burness - Conveyancing Executive

Emma joined MSB Solicitors in September 2010.  She specialises in property development sites for residential purposes.  Her main clients are house builders/developers.  She also deals with individual residential sales and purchases for clients.   Emma is currently studying for her Ilex.

Melissa Bosoboe - Trainee Solicitor

Melissa graduated from Liverpool John Moores University in 2003 and completed the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law Chester in 2004. She has worked in conveyancing for the past 6 years and joined MSB Solicitors in September 2010 commencing her training contract.

Outside of work she enjoys socialising with friends, travelling and participating in gigs around the country with Batala.
