The Legal Services Commission recognised in May 2003 that MSB Solicitors have many years experience of defending individuals charged with serious and complex fraud throughout the UK. MSB Solicitors were therefore approved by the LSC as members of the Specialist Fraud Panel. The LSC has subsequently contracted with MSB Solicitors on a number of occasions to represent Defendants charged in serious high cost fraud cases. Our clients are not just based in the North of England but include clients from as far away as Northern Ireland. We are committed to providing a quality service to all our clients regardless of their location and regularly travel to meet our clients in such cases in their home towns to minimize the disruption to their working lives.
FACING DISQUALIFICATION FROM DRIVING
We continue to represent clients on a nationwide basis who face disqualification from driving, either as a result of speeding, totting-up for other motoring offences or drinking and driving.
Sean Sexton identified a loophole in the law relating to persons suspected of drinking and driving who then failed to provide a specimen of breath for analysis by the police. We successfully argued that the standard wording of such charges was void for duplicity in DPP –v- Corcoran and many of our clients subsequently had their disqualification’s from driving for such offences overturned on appeal. We continue to specialise in representing clients at risk of losing their employment as a result of a disqualification from driving and have particular expertise in technical defences, exceptional hardship submissions and submissions of special reasons why disqualification should not be imposed.

Guidance on the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
MSB Solicitors only provides legal advice after having entering into a Solicitor / Client relationship which our website specifically does not create. Only after having entered into a written, signed agreement with MSB Solicitors will a Solicitor/ Client relationship have been created. It is imperative that any action taken be done on the advice of a Solicitor because every case is different. The descriptions of awards in cases previously handled are not meant to be a guarantee of success.
