Well done to Danielle Blaylock from our commercial department and Alison Thomas, who ditched their desks and took to the dance floor to raise funds for our nominated charity, Claire House, earlier this month.

The Strictly Come Dancing event held at the Titanic Hotel in Liverpool raised over £40,000 to support seriously and terminally ill children from the Wirral and beyond.

It is the third time Claire House have held the event, which has become a popular fixture in their fundraising calendar. Over the last two years the event has raised more than £90,000.

Danielle and Sarah were one of eight pairs of dancers involved. They raised more than £200 each for the charity, and attended seven weeks of rehearsals in preparation. Many of the MSB team were there to support them on the night.

Emma Wolfe, Corporate Fundraising Coordinator for Claire House Children’s Hospice said: “I’m so grateful to all our dancers, they did a fantastic job and gave everybody a memorable evening.

“But through all the sequins and glitter, a truly important message shone through; that we were all there to support families going through the most unimaginable situations.

“The money raised on the night will help us reach out to more families and help us provide the very best care to those we already support.”
