MSB Solicitors have expanded their plot sales team following a record year in 2016, which saw them complete more than 1,250 units in the Liverpool and Manchester city regions.
Developments include a mix of student housing and residential sites in Salford Quays, Liverpool One and The Baltic Triangle as well a number of other sites for a growing list ofdevelopers and house builders across the North West.
The firm, who’s client portfolio includes prominent developers X1, Ascot and Stewart Milne, have taken on 2 new fee earners and additional support staff, taking the team from 6 to 11 since beginning of October.
Leanne McNally joins MSB from Weightmans and brings a wealth of experience in plot sales and acquisition. Victoria Hughes, Danielle Saunders, Thomas Stockton and David Tarttelin will also bolster the commercial department.
In addition to unit and plot sales, the team regularly deal with the acquisition of residential and student development sites, planning agreements and conditions, adoption agreements and all aspects of residential site set up.
Partner elect, Brad Armstrong, who has taken on the running and expansion of the plot sales team, says:
“It’s been a busy but fantastic year for the team and we predict the twelve months ahead will be much the same. Only a week into the New Year, we have received instructions from a number of new clients and will be acting on a range of developments across the city region – including five major city centre developments and key developments in Liverpool’s Knowledge Quarter, which we’re very excited about.
“As such, we have invested not only in expanding the team, but also in improving our software and case management systems. We want to be sure we can offer all of our developer clients a completely bespoke and fully comprehensive service.”
Managing partner at MSB, Paul Bibby, added: “We’re incredibly pleased with the success of our plot sales team and delighted that Brad has taken the reigns in continuing to drive similar successes in the coming year.”
Brad Armstrong joined MSB in early 2015 and is experienced in a broad range of commercial property work. He acts for investors and developers on the acquisition and disposal of property; property finance transactions; joint ventures; option and overage agreements; easements and planning agreements.
