Employment Law at MSB Solicitors

We are pleased to announce that we are now able to advise clients on employment law matters.

The field of employment law is increasingly complex and employers who follow incorrect procedures can face an employment tribunal claim costing thousands of pounds to defend with little or no prospect of recovering costs from the Claimant.
We can now advise on a wide range of employment law matters including unfair dismissal, constructive dismissal, compromise agreements, redundancy and all types of discrimination. We can also advise on TUPE transfers and the obligations imposed on employers by virtue of the new TUPE Regulations 2006, which came into force on the 6th April 2006.


The department will be an addition to our expanding civil department and Karen Higgins will head up the department. The department will be based in our Wavertree Office. 


Karen, an LLB (Hons) graduate from the University of Liverpool, has trained in Employment Law with one of the UK's top 40 Legal Firms and she brings considerable commercial expertise to our Employment Law Department. She has run her own business and Karen's experience in the commercial business sector gives her the ability to understand the needs and priorities of the client. She is able to view things from both perspectives and is able to understand what a client wants from a legal service provider.
