The proceeds of which were donated to local charity, Calder Kids.

The theme of this years ball was ‘Fire and Ice’ and attendees were treated to a freshly carved bar made of ice and a spectacular display of acrobatics by a team of fire artists.

Calder kids Adventure Playground provides play, leisure, youth activities for children and young people with disabilities ages 5years - 19years. The aim of the organization is to provide a safe and stimulating environment where individual needs are respected and valued, and encourage children and young people to make choices and participate in decision making, also to enhance an individuals physical, social, creative and emotional development.

The organization encourages children to take risks as part of their play development and make it as enjoyable, fun and stimulating as possible ensuring the child's safety and welfare is paramount at all times.

The proceeds of the Fire and Ice ball will help Calder Kids to
(i) Refurbish its premises both inside and out
(ii) Make it fully accessible as possible to all children and young people who wish to use the service
(iii) Assist families and children alike in providing transport where possible, to and from the playground.
