General Damages
When you are injured as a result of an accident you may be entitled to recover compensation for your pain & suffering and ‘loss of amenity’ (PSLA). Compensation recovered for your PSLA is known as general damages. General damages for personal injury cases are goverened by the figures published annually by the Judicial Studies Board (JSB). There are known as the JSB Guidelines for the Assessment of General Damages

Special Damages
